Successful appearance at LIGNA 2025

Selmoni Smart Handling is looking back on successful LIGNA 2025 in Hannover. The team presented a compact, AI-supported vision system with a sorting robot for wooden panels at their trade fair stand - simple, robust and economical. The adaptive image processing solution reliably detects elements with possible defects such as cracks or knotholes and automatically sorts them out.
There was a great interest in our solutions: we had intensive discussions with many visitors and numerous new contacts were made. “Our practical solutions and our focus on tailor-made machines and production lines, especially with regard to the modernization of existing lines, were very well received,” summarizes Thomas Schermesser, Technical Managing Director. Inspired by the visitors’ input, Selmoni Smart Handling intends to expand the range of applications for the image processing system, for example to contours, edges of furniture panels and similar applications.
